Tigres Reaches Deal With Pumas for 'Memote' Martínez

Tigres and Pumas have reached an agreement over 'Memote' Martínez, according to ESPN Deportes. The deal between the two Liga MX clubs was reported on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. ESPN Deportes did not disclose the terms of the agreement, and neither club has been cited confirming the move. No fee, contract length or other details were included in the outlet's report. The reported agreement covers only the two clubs. Any move would still depend on the player agreeing personal terms and completing the usual medical checks, though ESPN Deportes has not reported on that stage of the process. Martínez's position, age and current contract situation were not part of the material published by ESPN Deportes, and no figures on his recent performances were provided. The report adds another entry to the transfer business between Tigres and Pumas, two of the better-known sides in Mexican football, though the outlet gave no background on past deals between them. What to watch next: whether either club publicly confirms the agreement, and whether Martínez completes the move.
